Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Student Counselor role based in Kozhikode.

The Student

Counselor will support prospective and current students in understanding study abroad options, including programs, destinations, universities, and admission requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assisting with course and university selection, and guiding students through the application, documentation, and visa processes. The role involves responding to student and parent inquiries,



maintaining accurate records, and providing ongoing follow-up to ensure a smooth experience.

The Student

Counselor will collaborate with the wider team to deliver information sessions, workshops, and events, while promoting Guidbay Study Abroad’s programs through qualified communication and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Education-related skills to guide learners effectively through study abroad pathways.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to advise students on academic choices aligned with future career goals.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with students, parents, and institutional partners.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple applications, deadlines, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Relevant experience in study abroad consulting, education counseling, or academic advisory services is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with international education systems and admission processes in countries such as the U.K., USA, Canada, and Australia is an advantage.
- Comfort working in an on-site, student-facing role and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.
