Position Summary The Stores Manager leads warehouse operations, inventory control, and material staging for transformer core production. This includes managing high-value cold-rolled grain-oriented (CRGO) steel coils, slit coils, cut laminations, clamps, hardware, and finished stacked or wound cores. The role ensures precise ERP tracking, zero material degradation, and seamless line feeding to slitting, cut-to-length (CTL), and stacking lines.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Material Management

- Direct the receipt, storage, and issuance of CRGO/CRNGO master coils, slit coils, cut laminations, insulation materials (pressboard, kraft paper), and clamping structures.
- Enforce strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and batch/heat-number traceability for steel coils from raw receipt to final core assembly.
- Perform cycle counts, monthly reconciliation, and annual physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve material variances in the ERP system.
- Maintain minimum-maximum inventory thresholds and safety stock levels to avoid line stoppages.

Operational Execution & Logistics

- Supervise heavy-material handling, ensuring safe overhead crane and forklift operations for steel coils weighing up to 5–15 tons.




- Plan and coordinate line feeding schedules with production supervisors to ensure timely staging of slit coils and laminations at cutting and stacking stations.
- Manage storage, protective packing, and staging of finished transformer cores for dispatch or transfer to tanking/assembly bays.
- Oversee scrap management, accurately tracking and weighing CRGO offcuts, edge trim, and punch waste to assist finance with yield calculations.

.Candidate Profile

- Education: 12th Pass (Higher Secondary Certificate).
- Material Knowledge: Familiar with handling CRGO/CRNGO electrical steel coils, slit coils, cut laminations, and core clamping hardware.
- Heavy Equipment Supervision: Practical knowledge of safe overhead crane rigging, coil lifters, and forklift operations on the shop floor.
- Stock & Scrap Tracking: Hands-on ability to conduct physical cycle counts, maintain manual registers or logs, and track production scrap (offcuts and edge trim).
- Shop-Floor Coordination: Strong communication skills to coordinate line-feeding schedules directly with production supervisors and cutting/stacking operators.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
