Position: Tender / Estimation Engineer

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / BE (Relevant Engineering Discipline)

Role Overview The Tendering & Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and coordinating with vendors to ensure competitive and compliant bids. The role requires strong analytical ability, commercial understanding, and attention to detail in handling BOQs and tender documentation.

Key ResponsibilitiesTender Review & Analysis

● Study tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications thoroughly.

● Analyze scope of work and identify technical and commercial requirements.

● Ensure compliance with tender terms, conditions, and contractual obligations.

Cost Estimation & BOQ Management

● Prepare detailed cost estimates and commercial quotations.

● Conduct rate analysis and quantity verification as per BOQ.

● Ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability in pricing.

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

● Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.

● Negotiate pricing and commercial terms where required.

● Prepare comparative statements (CS) for management approval.

Tender Submission





● Handle online tender submissions through GeM and other e-tender portals.

● Ensure timely and accurate submission of technical and commercial documents.

● Participate in pre-bid meetings and address clarification queries.

Documentation & Record Management

● Maintain proper records of quotations, vendor database, and price history.

● Ensure organized documentation for audit and future reference.

Negotiation & Commercial Support

● Support management during negotiations and clarification meetings.

● Provide cost breakdowns and technical-commercial inputs as required.

Technical Skills

● Strong knowledge of BOQ analysis and rate analysis

● Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and commercial quotations

● Positive understanding of tender documents and contract terms

● Knowledge of government tendering processes (CPWD, PWD, Railways, GeM, e-tender portals)

● Strong proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, costing sheets, comparisons)

● Basic knowledge of GST, taxation, and commercial terms

Pay: From ₹400,000.00 per year
