Role & responsibilities

Support the MDs office in driving business performance, financial analysis, strategic reviews, and key action-point closure across manufacturing and project businesses. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify concerns, drive resolution, and provide actionable insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

- Business & Financial Performance
- Analyze production, sales, invoicing, profitability, inventory, and overall business performance.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS and performance reports.
- Track invoicing plan vs. actuals, production plans, dispatches, and sales forecasts.
- Conduct financial, profitability, and variance analysis and highlight key trends and risks.
- Business Deep Dives & Action Tracking
- Be part of detailed analysis of key business issues and performance gaps.
- Identify actionable points and work with concerned teams / follow up to ensure timely closure.
- Track and report progress on critical management action points.
- Strategy & Business Reviews
- Support the MD and leadership team in strategic reviews, business planning, and decision-making.
- Provide analytical inputs for business strategy; work collaboratively with functions rather than operating in isolation.




- Support special projects and assignments as directed by management and spearhead key initiatives where required.

- MDs Office Support
- Follow up on key priorities and commitments communicated by management.
- Participate in business reviews and, where relevant, accompany the MD on plant visits and business reviews to develop deeper operational understanding.
- Escalations & Management Reporting
- Maintain a structured repository of presentations, MIS, reports, and management reviews.

Preferred candidate profile

- 1220 years of experience in business analysis, business performance, corporate planning, or management reporting.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial businesses preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial and business performance analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work across functions.
- MBA Finance preferred; Engineering + MBA preferred for candidates with strong Projects/EPC exposure.
- Robust proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MIS, and data-driven reporting.
- High ownership, maturity, confidentiality, and ability to work closely with senior management.
