- Budgeting

- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

- Develop project budgets and cost plans during the design and pre-construction stages.

- Analyze project scope and identify cost optimization opportunities.

- Review and validate quantity take-offs and BOQs.

Tendering &

- Procurement Support

- Prepare tender documents and bid packages.

- Float enquiries to vendors and contractors and obtain competitive quotations.

- Evaluate contractor and vendor bids from technical and commercial perspectives.

- Prepare comparative statements and recommendation reports.

Quantity Surveying

- Verify quantities from GFC drawings and consultant submissions.

- Monitor material quantities and project cost variations.

- Ensure accurate measurement and quantity reconciliation.

Cost Control &

- Value Engineering

- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

- Identify potential risks affecting project budgets and propose mitigation measures.

- Assist project teams in managing cost deviations and variation orders.

Coordination &

- Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, procurement, and project teams.

- Support management with feasibility studies and project cost evaluations.





- Participate in project review meetings and management presentations.

Reporting &

- Documentation

- Maintain estimation databases and cost benchmarks.

- Prepare monthly MIS reports related to project costs and budget utilization.

- Generate cost analysis reports for management decision-making.

Required Skills &

- Competencies

- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and materials.

- Expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation.

- Understanding of residential and commercial real estate projects.

- Robust analytical and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, ERP systems, and estimation software.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech Civil Engineering

- Additional certification in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management will be an advantage.

Experience

- 1015 years of experience in estimation and costing within the real estate/construction industry.

- Experience handling high-rise residential, commercial, and township projects.
