About Neo
AI is the most significant shift in how work gets done since the advent of the Internet — yet most organizations fail to capture its value. Neo is changing that.
Founded by Bhavin Turakhia — Co-Founder of Zeta, Radix, and Titan — Neo is building an integrated, AI-first suite of products that capture work, centralize context, and make AI a first-class participant in every workflow:
- Tasket — A radically reimagined, AI-native, work management platform that centralizes context and makes AI delegation seamless for all work.
- Friday — AI Assistant, co-worker and agent platform, pre-integrated into Tasket, Studio, Drive and 1000 SaaS platforms.
- Studio — AI-native suite for co-creating docs, spreadsheets and diagrams collaboratively with humans and agents.
- Drive — AI-native repository, where humans and agents can co-work on files.
- Scribe — AI assistant for meetings that goes beyond note-taking and actually does your work while on the call.
About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and operate the infrastructure and delivery platform behind the Neo suite — cloud, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and the path to production — owning key parts of it end to end and raising the reliability bar for the engineers building on it.
We are proponents of leveraging best-in-breed AI tools at every step of the engineering lifecycle — design, development, review, and testing. This requires a different engineering mindset: a lean team of senior, hands-on, AI-adept engineers, resulting in ultra-rapid iteration cycles and fast output. You will drive this approach across the areas you own, directing agents through implementation and owning the quality of what ships.
At Neo, the platform serves both people and a growing fleet of agents shipping change in parallel — so the faster and safer you make the path to production, the more leverage the whole org gets. This role is for an engineer with deep systems expertise who takes ownership of production, including being on the front line when things break.

Responsibilities
Cloud & infrastructure
- Design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, globally distributed infrastructure on AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Build and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform or Crossplane; create reusable modules and optimise for performance, cost, and scale.
Delivery & GitOps
- Architect, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for fast, reliable, auditable deployments.
- Run declarative,
Git-based environment promotion with drift detection and continuous reconciliation (Argo CD / Flux), using blue-green, canary, and rolling strategies.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience and release cycles.
Containers & Kubernetes
- Operate production Kubernetes at scale — cluster networking, ingress and API gateways (Kong, NGINX), autoscaling, and capacity planning.
AI-first delivery & automation
- Build the guardrails and CI quality gates that let engineers and agents ship infrastructure change safely.
- Develop automation and internal platform tooling in Python, Go, or Bash to reduce operational toil — directing agents through implementation and validating what they produce.
Reliability, on-call & incident response
- Own observability for the systems you run — monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing — with SLOs and actionable alerts.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as a senior responder; lead response for high-severity incidents, coordinate across teams, and restore service quickly.
- Drive root-cause analysis and blameless postmortems; turn findings into lasting fixes, better runbooks, and less noisy alerting.
Security & mentoring
- Implement and enforce cloud security, secrets management, and secure-SDLC practices with a DevSecOps mindset.
- Mentor junior engineers, including on on-call readiness and incident handling, and help establish DevOps best practices across the organization.
Skills
- AI-native engineering practice — Uses agentic tooling across the lifecycle and builds the reusable modules, automation, and CI quality gates that make both human and agent-authored infrastructure change safe to ship.
- Systems & infrastructure — Strong Linux/Unix, kernel, networking, and OS fundamentals; deep understanding of distributed systems and microservice patterns across public and private cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure/OpenShift or self-managed).
- CI/CD & GitOps — Extensive hands-on with pipeline-as-code, GitOps delivery (Argo CD / Flux), Git-based environment promotion, and advanced deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling).
- Containers & cloud-native — Production Kubernetes; ingress/API gateways (Kong, NGINX, Envoy); service mesh (Istio)
a plus; solid on cluster networking and scaling patterns.
- Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, Crossplane, or CloudFormation, plus configuration management (Ansible).
- Observability & reliability — Robust troubleshooting and performance tuning in complex distributed systems; hands-on with SLOs and SRE methodologies.
- On-call & incident response — Has led incidents end to end: triage, mitigation, cross-team communication, and postmortems; improves runbooks, alerting, and escalation paths so the next incident is shorter.
- Security & DevSecOps — Cloud security best practices, access control, secrets management, and secure SDLC; compliance standards a plus.
- Programming & automation — Production-quality Python, Go, or Bash; builds internal tooling, operators, platform services, and testable, reusable infrastructure modules.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
- Software engineers with a bent towards Operations engineering or vice versa.
- Solid fundamentals in Linux/OS internals, networking, and system performance.
- Hands-on experience with public or private cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
- Good understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Proven experience with modern CI/CD practices, GitOps workflows, and deployment strategies.
- Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes, Envoy, and API gateways such as Kong and NGINX.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or Consul) is a plus.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Practical experience implementing observability practices (metrics, monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing).
- Programming proficiency in Python, Go, or Ruby.
- Experience implementing cloud security and DevSecOps best practices.
- Has been part of a production on-call rotation and has led incident response and postmortems for high-impact incidents.
- Continuous learner with a strong ownership mindset and effective engineering practices.
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent. A learner for life and an effective engineer.
