AAFT University of Media and Arts, Raipur is looking for a creative and technically skilled Sound Designer – Film & TV to join our academic team.

? Position: Sound Designer – Film & TVDepartment: Cinema / Film & Television

Location: Kharora, Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Employment Type: Full-Time

? Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop soundscapes for films, television, web series and other audiovisual productions.
- Work on dialogue editing, sound effects, ambience, Foley and sound design.
- Handle recording, editing, mixing and post-production workflows.
- Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, editors and other creative teams to achieve the desired audiovisual experience.
- Conduct practical sessions and demonstrations on professional sound recording and post-production techniques.
- Guide students through industry-oriented projects, short films and production exercises.
- Maintain and operate professional audio equipment and sound-editing software.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in film sound, immersive audio and audiovisual production.





? Desired Skills
- Strong understanding of film sound design and audio post-production.
- Hands-on experience with Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Reaper or other professional DAWs.
- Knowledge of Foley, ADR, dialogue editing, sound effects, mixing and mastering.
- Understanding of 5.1 surround sound, immersive audio/Dolby workflows will be an advantage.
- Robust creative and storytelling abilities through sound.
- Good communication and mentoring skills.

? Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/ Masters in Sound Design, Audio Engineering, Film & Television, Music Production
- Relevant professional experience in Film, Television, OTT, Advertising or Audio Post-Production.
- Candidates with strong industry portfolios and practical production experience will be preferred.
- Teaching/academic experience will be an added advantage.
