Core Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to design effective test cases.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications (as applicable).
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Collaboration & Reporting

- Work closely with developers, product managers,



and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Provide timely and detailed test execution status reports to the QA Lead / Project

Manager.

- Support UAT by assisting business users and validating fixes.

Quality Assurance Practices

- Follow industry best practices for QA, including risk-based testing and defect management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and methodologies.

Additional Expectations (with 4 years’ experience)

- Mentor junior testers by sharing knowledge and reviewing test cases.
- Take ownership of testing for assigned modules or projects with minimal supervision.
- Provide input for test effort estimation and project planning.
- Identify opportunities for test optimization and improvements in QA processes.

Key Skills Required

- Robust knowledge of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software

Development Life Cycle).

- Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Good understanding of different types of testing: functional, regression, integration,

UAT, smoke, sanity, exploratory testing.• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
