Job Title: Software Engineer (RDK-B / Yocto / Networking)

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components using C and C++ for broadband gateway platforms.
- Develop and customize Linux-based embedded systems using the Yocto Project.
- Design, enhance, and troubleshoot core RDK-B components, including WAN Manager, Telemetry, Log Upload, and Crash Upload.
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, systems, and QA teams to debug, validate, and integrate software across the gateway stack.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions, driving continuous improvement in software quality and reliability.
- Document design decisions, integration steps, and troubleshooting guidance for reference by the wider engineering team.

Required Skills

- Strong programming skills in C and C++, with hands-on experience in Embedded Linux and Yocto build systems.
- Proven experience with RDK-B development, particularly the WAN Manager, Telemetry, Log Upload, and Crash Upload modules.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, NAT,



routing, firewalls, and VLANs.
- Working knowledge of TR-069, WebPA, SNMP, or the CCSP framework.
- Experience with Linux system programming — multithreading, IPC, socket programming, and standard debugging tools.
- Proficiency with Git and software version control systems.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with DOCSIS technologies and Cable Modem software.
- Familiarity with Voice/VoIP technologies (SIP, RTP, PacketCable, eMTA).
- Prior experience working on broadband gateway or telecom products.
- Strong sense of ownership, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced product development environment.

Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
