ABOUT INTERNDOOR

InternDoor is a job board for engineering internships in India, the United

States and the United Kingdom. It runs as a pipeline rather than a listings site: a collector reads public job boards and companies' own careers pages, a classifier decides which postings are genuine engineering roles, and a generator publishes roughly two thousand static pages a day. Every posting is checked against a list of employers we believe are real and actually pay their interns. We turn away about 116 listings for every one we publish.

WHAT YOU WOULD ACTUALLY DO

You would work on the product itself, not on a side project built to keep an intern busy.

- Write and review Node.js in the collector that reads job boards and

applicant tracking systems, and in the classifier that decides what belongs on the site.
- Work on the static site generator: its templates, its structured data

(schema.org JobPosting markup), and the test suite that guards it.
- Own one piece of the pipeline end to end, from the raw data through to the

page a student reads.
- Measure your own changes. Nothing ships here on the strength of looking

right; we run the old behaviour and the current one over real data and compare.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR





- Comfortable writing Java or C++, and solid on data structures and

algorithms. You will write JavaScript here, but we care that you can reason about a program, not that you already know this stack.
- Able to read code you did not write and change it without breaking it.
- Familiar with Git, SQL, the Linux command line, and how an HTTP API works.
- Currently studying in India and able to work remotely.
- Willing to say when something is wrong, including when it is something you

wrote yesterday. You do not need prior internship experience, a particular university, or a portfolio of finished products. A few commits we can read are worth more than a list of course names.

HOW WE WORK

Remote and part-time, arranged around your timetable. The work is asynchronous by default. You would get direct review on what you write rather than a ticket queue, and the site is public, so what you build is visible the day it ships.

COMPENSATION: 5k/month - 2 months internship
