About the Role

We're looking for a Software Development Engineer Intern to join our engineering team for a 6-month internship. You'll work on real, production-facing features across our stack — building and shipping code that impacts how millions of workers access job opportunities.

What You'll Do

- Build and ship features across the frontend (React) and backend (Node.js, PostgreSQL)
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers on feature design and implementation
- Debug and resolve issues in existing systems
- Contribute to technical discussions and bring fresh perspective to engineering decisions

What We're Looking For

- Robust fundamentals in React (component architecture, state management, hooks) and Node.js (REST APIs, async patterns)




- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL — schema design, queries, basic optimization
- Must have completed at least one prior internship in a software engineering role
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field

Good to Have

- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) or CI/CD pipelines
- Prior experience building or contributing to a production application
