Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join Sumasofts Testing & Automation team. The role requires expertise in Python Testing, Robot Framework, Linux, Virtualization, API Testing, PowerShell, and Bash scripting. The candidate will design, develop, and execute automated test solutions across diverse environments, ensuring product quality and reliability.

Total Experience : 4-6 Years

Notice Period : 30-40 Days

Shift Timings : 2 to 11 PM

Key Responsibilities

Python Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python for functional, regression, and performance testing.

Robot Framework: Implement keyword-driven test automation for web, API, and system-level testing.

Linux Administration: Execute tests in Linux environments, manage shell scripts, and troubleshoot system-level issues.

Virtualization: Work with virtual machines/containers to set up test environments and simulate production scenarios.





API Testing: Validate REST/SOAP APIs for functionality, performance, and security using automation tools.

PowerShell: Automate Windows-based tasks and integrate test workflows with system operations.

Bash Scripting: Write and optimize shell scripts for automation, deployment, and environment setup.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency in Python and Robot Framework for automation.

Hands-on experience with Linux OS and scripting (Bash, PowerShell).

Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Docker, or similar).

Solid understanding of API testing methodologies and tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).

Ability to design scalable test frameworks and CI/CD integration.

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
