Location: Jambusar/Panoli/Udaipur

Position Title: Site Workplace Safety Head

Level: Junior to Sr. Management depending on site

Reporting To: Head Workplace Safety

Dotted Line Reporting to Site Head

Position Purpose

- EHS culture building
- To implement global EHS standards and EHS interim actions on Chemical safety, PPE, electrical, Machinery safety, LOTO, Training, PTW, JSA, Fire & Emergency, Occupational Health etc.
- Risk and Emergency Management
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- EHS Incident Investigation and Reporting
- Team Management
- Training / capability development system
- Industrial EHS Database and Best Practices
- To make a monitoring system to ensure that standards are in place and in use 24 hrs 365 days
- To develop and track regional EHS budget

Strategic Responsibilities

- Develop EHS culture and implement global EHS standards on Chemical safety, PPE, electrical, Machinery safety, LOTO, Training, PTW, JSA, Fire & Emergency along with Occupational Health etc.
- Provide a framework to identify all possible risks and foreseeable emergencies, develop control and preventive measures, review implementation of risk mitigation guidelines, develop, communicate and simulate emergency response plans IN ORDER TO mitigate potential business risks from SHE perspective and prevent and address emergencies effectively.
- List down the activities of respective site
- Conduct safety health fire hygiene risk assessment
- List the high, medium and low risk safety health fire hygiene activities.
- Develop the controls to mitigate the safety health fire hygiene risks
- Develop a monitoring system to ensure that safety health fire hygiene controls are in place and in use 24 hrs and 365 days

Operational Responsibilities

- Implementation of standards: Chemical safety, PPE, electrical, Machinery safety, LOTO, Training, PTW, JSA, Fire & Emergency,



Occupational Health.
- Establish indicators of performance as per local regulatory, I global and other EHS requirements, Monitor performance against the established indicators; communicate performance to senior management, employees and relevant external stakeholders; Carry out corrective and preventive actions to address adverse trends, Prepare EHS data as may be prescribed by external bodies IN ORDER TO effectively track and report performance and take a timely corrective action if required
- Develop training modules/ calendar covering appropriate personnel across sites
- To help and guide the teams in implementing the standards.
- Improve the capability of plant EHS in implementing standards in the respective site
- Deliver awareness trainings to plant heads, SLT, zone owners and shift in charges on standards and their implementation.
- In order to continually increase competence across PI
- Collect best SHE practices in and outside PI plants, share and track for implementation of EHS good practices, create a system for encouraging to share the EHS good practices.
- Provide standards and process for investigation and reporting, review serious incident cases; conduct quality controls on incident investigation reports and advise teams when required on classification, investigation and documentation; track incidents on a regular basis to identify areas of improvement and create infrastructure for reporting IN ORDER TO ensure incidents are effectively investigated and processes are put in place to prevent the same in the future.




- To develop a system of monitoring the safety, hygiene, health standards are in place and in use 24 hrs. 365 days
- Take initiatives in the matter of EHS with an objective to upgrade the standards of Occupational Safety protection including generating various checklists/ building up standards

Financial Responsibilities

- To develop EHS OPEX and CAPEX budget of respective site and track them for completion.

People Responsibilities

- Conduct goal setting, performance appraisals and mentoring/coaching for own team members; collaborate with HR in manpower planning, recruitment activities and identifying training needs of team members; provide training to team members on recent processes when required IN ORDER TO maximize retention and performance of team members
- To work with site leadership team and improve the site EHS culture by focusing on

- Visible felt leadership
- Engaging the employees in EHS
- Improving line accountability in EHS
- Capability and competency building.

Education Qualification A Graduate Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical engineering. Work Experience At least 10-15 years of EHS experience in Chemical/Pharma//FMCG/ automobiles and other mechanical operations
