Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Handicraft Merchandiser role based in Bhopal. The role involves coordinating with handicraft suppliers and artisans, managing product selections, and ensuring that designs, quality standards, and pricing meet client and market expectations.

The Handicraft

Merchandiser will track orders, manage sampling and approvals, monitor production timelines, and maintain accurate records of inventory and deliveries. Daily tasks include communicating with buyers and retail partners, preparing product presentations,



supporting marketing and sales teams with product information, and conducting market research on handicraft trends. The role also includes ensuring proper display and merchandising at retail locations, resolving customer or client queries related to products, and collaborating with internal teams to meet sales targets.

Qualifications

- Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with artisans, suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
- Customer service skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships with buyers and retail partners.
- Sales skills to support negotiations, contribute to sales targets, and promote handicraft products effectively.
- Retail experience in merchandising, product display, inventory tracking, and store coordination.
- Marketing skills to assist in product positioning, promotional activities, and market research for handicraft collections.
- Knowledge or interest in handicraft products, traditional arts, and design trends.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines, with strong attention to detail and basic data/reporting skills.
- Preferred: Diploma or degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Design, Retail Management, or a related field; experience in handicraft or lifestyle products is an advantage.
