SITE ENGINEER – CIVIL & LUXURY INTERIOR FIT-OUTS SPECIALIST

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Site Engineer – Civil & Luxury Interior Fit-Outs Specialist to lead the on-site execution of premium residential, villa, hospitality and interior projects in Narendra Nagar and the surrounding Uttarakhand region.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in civil construction, luxury interior fit-outs, site coordination, contractor management and quality control, with the ability to translate architectural and design drawings into high-quality finished spaces.

This is a site-driven role requiring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, ownership of execution and the ability to coordinate effectively with architects, designers, contractors, vendors and the management team.

Key Responsibilities

- Civil & Construction Execution
- Supervise and manage day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites.
- Ensure execution is carried out as per approved architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Monitor RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, roofing and other civil works.
- Check dimensions, levels, alignment, slopes and workmanship at every stage.
- Coordinate with structural consultants, architects and contractors to resolve site-related issues.
- Identify construction challenges and propose practical technical solutions.

2. Luxury Interior Fit-Outs
- Supervise high-end interior execution including flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, panelling, joinery, kitchens, wardrobes, bathrooms and other interior elements.
- Coordinate installation of premium materials such as natural stone, wood, veneer, glass, metal, marble and specialty finishes.
- Ensure all finishes meet approved drawings, specifications, samples and quality standards.
- Closely monitor detailing, joints, edges, levels, alignment and finishing quality.
- Coordinate with interior designers and vendors to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.

3. Contractor & Vendor Management
- Manage and coordinate civil contractors, interior contractors, carpenters, fabricators, electricians, plumbers, HVAC teams and other specialist agencies.
- Allocate work fronts and monitor manpower productivity.
- Verify contractor measurements and completed work before certification.
- Ensure contractors follow approved drawings, specifications, timelines and site safety requirements.




- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials are stored appropriately at site.

4. Project Planning & Execution
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly site execution plans.
- Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and milestones.
- Identify delays, dependencies and resource requirements at an early stage.
- Coordinate multiple trades simultaneously to avoid clashes and downtime.
- Maintain proper site records, progress reports and work documentation.
- Escalate critical project issues to the Director with proposed solutions.

5. Quality Control
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of construction and finishing quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of ongoing and completed works.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely closure of defects.
- Ensure mock-ups and material samples are approved before bulk execution.
- Check workmanship before subsequent activities are allowed to proceed.
- Ensure final handover standards are consistent with premium/luxury project expectations.

6. Materials & Procurement Coordination
- Prepare material requirements based on project schedules and drawings.
- Coordinate with procurement teams and vendors for timely material availability.
- Verify delivered materials against approved specifications and quantities.
- Monitor wastage and ensure efficient utilisation of materials.
- Identify suitable alternatives when required without compromising quality or design intent.

7. Drawings & Technical Coordination
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, interior and MEP drawings.
- Coordinate drawing requirements with architects, consultants and designers.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
- Maintain updated drawings and ensure only approved revisions are implemented.
- Assist in developing site measurements, BOQs and quantity estimates where required.

8. Site Safety & Discipline
- Ensure contractors and workers follow applicable site safety procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and organised work areas.
- Monitor safe handling and storage of construction materials and equipment.
- Report unsafe practices and ensure corrective action is taken.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant site experience, preferably in premium residential, villas, luxury interiors, resorts or hospitality projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction and interior fit-out processes.




- Excellent understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
- Good knowledge of finishing materials, construction techniques and detailing.
- Experience managing multiple contractors and specialist vendors.
- Strong understanding of BOQs, measurements, quantities and site billing.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
- Ability to independently manage site execution and solve practical site problems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred; knowledge of MS Excel and project management tools will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Dehradun
- Delhi / NCR

Preference will be given to candidates who are comfortable working on a regular basis at project sites in Narendra Nagar and Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Candidates from other locations with relevant experience and a solid willingness to relocate or work from the project location may also be considered.

Candidates with experience in the following will be preferred:

- Luxury villas and second homes
- Boutique resorts and hospitality projects
- Premium residential developments
- High-end interior fit-outs
- Mountain / hillside construction
- Turnkey construction projects
- Premium materials and bespoke interior detailing

Experience with sloping sites, hill construction and challenging site conditions in Uttarakhand will be an added advantage.
