Senior Technical Architect Software Applications & Digital Infrastructure

Job Responsibilities

Domain Specific:

- Own the software engineering and digital technology function end-to-end architecture, build, launch, adoption and ongoing iteration of internally deployed applications, including systems supporting mining and transportation operations.
- Define and execute the technology vision, strategy and roadmap aligned to business goals, and establish the technical standards, governance framework and development methodology the function is accountable for.
- Architect scalable and secure service-oriented platforms from scratch, owning system design, microservices and API architecture across the application landscape.
- Design and own the on-premise and cloud infrastructure strategy (AWS / Azure / GCP) covering architecture, scalability, cost and disaster recovery.
- Drive DevOps, CI/CD and containerisation practices (Docker, Kubernetes), with hands-on involvement in architecture, critical code and production troubleshooting.
- Architect and integrate systems supporting mining and transportation operations production and dispatch tracking, weighbridge, vehicle tracking, fuel management and equipment utilisation.
- Own the integration with existing enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, finance) and establish data architecture, master data and reporting standards across SQL and NoSQL platforms.
- Run Agile / Scrum delivery across the function, managing multiple concurrent projects from conception to deployment, on time and within budget.
- Build the team from scratch hire developers, QA and DevOps engineers, mentor them,



and shape them into a high-performing unit.
- Identify and drive opportunities to apply AI/ML, automation and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Apply application and infrastructure security practices across the technology stack and ensure compliance with applicable statutory and information-security requirements.
- Own the technology budget and vendor ecosystem evaluate, contract and govern technology partners and system integrators against defined service levels.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between business and development, translating business requirements into technical specifications and presenting strategy and progress to senior leadership.
- Act as the final technical escalation point for complex issues, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and technical excellence.

Experience & Qualification:

- 18+ years in software engineering, including 6–7+ years in a senior team-leading or architecture leadership role.
- Proven 01 and 110 track record — has led a software function, product or platform from scratch and scaled it as usage and complexity grew; has hired and mentored engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on coding ability in Python, .NET or JavaScript/Node.js, with expertise in cloud solution design, SQL/NoSQL databases and application security. DevSecOps familiarity is an added advantage.
- B.E. / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline. Exposure to mining, manufacturing, logistics or transportation systems is a solid plus.
