Senior SAP FICO S/4HANA Tax Expert

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a Tax Process Expert supporting SAP S/4HANA deployment projects and process template design.
- Provide process expertise across B2C, B2P and I2P Tax processes.
- Own Tax-related project activities for assigned legal entities/countries from project initiation through go-live.
- Collaborate with Key Users and project teams on customization checklists, business requirements and project deliverables.
- Participate in the discovery phase and execute activities using established S/4HANA deployment methodologies, documents and checklists.
- Perform Tax Code analysis, mapping and validation in coordination with the customer Tax Coordinator.
- Support requirement gathering and identification of country/entity-specific Tax Customizing requirements.
- Support migration preparation activities including FL, Initial Load and Go-Live.
- Coordinate Tax Code creation and mapping loads and ensure required tax data files are completed.
- Execute GL account checks for Tax Category attributes and support data cleansing in SAP R/3 where required.
- Handle and resolve migration/error logs related to Tax activities.
- Coordinate and track test cases and provide first-level support during Integration Testing (INT) and UAT.




- Support business users with Tax-related questions and defects based on process documentation.
- Conduct Key User training and provide guidance on operational Tax processes.
- Explain relevant system landscape, authorizations and roles to project stakeholders.
- Support enablement and knowledge sessions on standard Tax processes and tools such as ACR, Vertex and Tax Ledger.
- Provide training on operational processing and country-specific developments before integration testing.
- Work closely with Tax Coordinators, Key Users, Deployment Teams and other functional/technical stakeholders to ensure successful deployment.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of relevant SAP Tax experience,in SAP FI/CO and S/4HANA environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP Tax processes and configuration.
- Hands-on experience in SAP implementation, deployment and customization.
- Experience with Tax Code analysis, mapping, configuration and migration.
- Strong understanding of Tax processes across B2C, B2P and I2P.
- Experience in SAP R/3 and S/4HANA environments.
- Exposure to Vertex, ACR and Tax Ledger is preferred.
- Experience in Integration Testing, UAT, defect handling and Key User training.
- Solid requirement-gathering, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional project teams.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
