Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior QA Automation Engineer with 5 to 7 years of software testing and test automation experience. In this role, you will perform end-to-end automation across Web UI, Mobile and APIs, ensure the stability and security, mentor junior QA engineers, and serve as a primary testing partner for engineering leads, product managers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Automation & Framework Scaling (3+ Years exp required)
2. Able to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred) or Selenium (JavaScript/TypeScript or Java/Python).
3. Implement robust API suites validating RESTful endpoints, auth tokens, status codes, and microservice contracts.
4. Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) for continuous integration and regression.
5. Establish automated test coverage for regression suites and smoke verification.
6. SharePoint & Enterprise Platform Validation
7. Perform manual and automated testing of Microsoft SharePoint sites, custom web parts, metadata tagging, and user access/permissions matrices.
8. Design and execute automation scripts for SharePoint flows, permission boundaries and Power Automate workflow integrations using Playwright/Selenium and Microsoft Graph REST APIs.
9. Verify cross-browser compatibility and security role configurations (Owner, Member, Visitor permissions).
10. Quality Governance & SDLC Integration
11. Analyze business requirements and user stories to flag edge cases, missing acceptance criteria,



and technical risks during backlog grooming.
12. Author and review structured test artifacts: Test Scenarios, Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), Test Plans, and Defect Reports.
13. Mentorship & Stakeholder Management
14. Guide and upskill junior QA engineers through structured code reviews, test case audits, and automation debugging sessions.
15. Communicate technical test outcomes and release risks for the Business, Product Owners, and external stakeholders.
16. Lead defect triage meetings, ensuring engineering teams adhere to bug fix SLAs.

Required Skills & Qualifications Total Experience : 5 to 7 years in Software Testing (Functional, Integration, System, and Regression).

Core Automation : Minimum 3+ years of dedicated automation development with: Playwright (at least 1+ year hands-on experience strongly preferred) OR Selenium WebDriver.

Solid programming proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Python.

API Testing : Proficient in testing and automating REST APIs using Postman, RestAssured, or Playwright API client.

SharePoint Experience : Proven experience validating SharePoint lists, document management workflows, permission inheritance, and Power Automate integration (hands-on automation experience via UI or Microsoft Graph API is a strong plus).

Database / SQL : Strong working knowledge of SQL for database validation, backend data integrity checks, and test data seeding.

Agile & Tools : Expertise with Jira, Confluence, Git version control, and test management platforms (Xray / Zephyr).

Soft Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to interface with senior leadership, drive releases, and mentor junior team members.
