Role & responsibilities

Lead and deliver large, complex hydro EPC projects (For electro-mechanical works) with full accountability for technical, commercial, contractual, and schedule performance. Own end-to-end execution from engineering to commissioning ensuring margin protection, risk control, stakeholder alignment, and robust management visibility. Drive high-performance project culture across global teams.

- Complex Hydro EPC Leadership: Managing multi-disciplinary interfaces between electro-mechanical, civil, hydro-mechanical, and transmission scopes. Strong command over installation sequencing and critical logistics planning.
- Early risk identification, scenario planning, mitigation strategy development, and recovery leadership during critical project phases.
- Deep knowledge of turbines, generators, governors, excitation systems, auxiliaries, BOP, and integration challenges in large-capacity projects.
- Overseeing manufacturing progress, quality control, FAT, global supply chain coordination, erection, testing, and commissioning of high-value packages.
- Mastery of Primavera/MS Project, critical path ownership,



delay analysis, and turnaround strategies.
- Managing international clients, consultants, consortium partners; leading high-stakes review meetings and negotiations.
- Handling complex variation orders, EOT, arbitration-ready documentation, and structured claim negotiations (FIDIC

exposure Yellow and Silver Book).Margin protection, cost forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and risk-adjusted financial planning.
- Structured, data-driven project reviews to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile 16-20 years of experience in Hydro Power EPC project management

Proven track record of delivering large and complex hydro projects

Strong exposure to international markets (India, Asia, Europe)

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)

Excellent English communication skills

Strong contractual and commercial acumen

Experience leading multi-cultural, cross-functional teams
