- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching (Enterprise IOS/NX-OS), including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, and multicast.

- Proven experience managing next-generation firewalls, preferably Palo Alto (security policies, zones, App-ID, User-ID, URL filtering, IPS, VPNs).

- Practical exposure to SD-WAN technologies (Cisco or equivalent) including overlay/underlay design, path selection, and policy-based routing.

- Experience designing and troubleshooting enterprise Wi-Fi networks, with knowledge of RF fundamentals, roaming, and wireless security.

- Positive understanding of VoIP/SIP, call signalling, codecs, and QoS requirements for voice and video workloads.

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, and network security best practices.

- Experience with network monitoring and logging tools (for example SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios,



or similar) and packet analysis tools (such as Wireshark).

- Ability to write and maintain network documentation, SOPs, and change records in a structured and audit-ready manner.

Qualifications and certifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).

- Professional-level Cisco certification (CCNP Enterprise/Collaboration/Security or equivalent) is strongly preferred.

- CCIE (Routing & Switching/Enterprise Infrastructure, Security, or Collaboration) certification is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.
