Senior Manager Project Development - C&I;

Designation: Sr. Manager

The incumbent will be responsible for:





- Identifying and developing a robust pipeline of renewable energy projects (solar/wind/hybrid) for Open Access deployment in states offering conducive policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Sourcing project proposals and offers for land and connectivity from credible partners.
- Evaluating proposals on parameters such as substation suitability, land availability, resource potential (solar/wind), commercial feasibility, and regulatory conditions.
- Recommending Go / No-Go decisions on the basis of rigorous technical and financial assessment.
- Coordinating internal due diligence across technical, legal, finance, and regulatory teams to comprehensively evaluate shortlisted sites.
- Demonstrating a strong command of project cost structures, engineering considerations, and financial parameters, and driving optimization of overall project economics.
- Working closely with finance teams on preliminary financial models and viability assessments.
- Coordinating with legal and commercial stakeholders to finalize necessary agreements (LOIs, MoUs, land contracts, connectivity approvals, etc.), applying a hands-on and practical approach to project coordination.
- Analyzing the impact of recent policies, orders, or circulars on Open Access project viability and timelines.
- Representing the company at vendor meetings, industry conferences, and renewable energy events to stay abreast of sector developments and build professional networks.
- SPV management including supporting company creation, funds infusion and captive structure compliances as required.




- Bring owners perspective for project monitoring and control w.r.t E&C; site activities for both Solar and Wind projects.
- Should have experience of third party EPC contractor management with strong negotiation skills with a solution and delivery mindset.
- Sharing project progress to customers

Educational Qualifications and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil preferred).
- Around 10–12 years of relevant experience in STU (State Transmission Utility) project execution, with strong exposure to renewable energy project development, business development, or infrastructure sectors.
- Good command of finance, engineering, and costing aspects of project execution, with the ability to translate technical and commercial inputs into sound project decisions.
- Demonstrated hands-on, practical approach to project coordination, with proven ability to work in a rapid-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Prior exposure to Open Access renewable projects preferred.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of power sector economics, renewable energy policy, and Open Access frameworks.
- Sound understanding of state-level regulatory frameworks, including state electricity regulatory commission (SERC) regulations, open access rules, and connectivity/transmission approval processes.
- Sound grasp of engineering fundamentals and costing principles relevant to project execution and cost optimization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret project data, proposals, and financial metrics.
- Practical, hands-on orientation towards project coordination, with excellent interpersonal and coordination skills across diverse internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation management tools.
- Willingness to travel frequently for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
