About the role

Builds and owns every user-facing surface in OpenPHC — Next Steps for frontline workers and care coordinators, the AI Micro-Coach screens inside it, and the Administrator Insights web dashboard — to the technical standard and roadmap the Architect and Program Director set, with particular attention to offline-first design for low-connectivity field use.

What you’ll do

- Next Steps build — referral capture, follow-up management, the worklist screen (consuming the AI/ML Engineer's prioritisation output), and offline-first synchronisation, against requirements the Business Analyst produces
- AI Micro-Coach UI — builds the coaching screens inside Next Steps against the content model and coaching logic the AI/ML Engineer owns
- Administrator Insights dashboard — builds the web dashboard administrators use, consuming the AI/ML Engineer’s natural-language query layer and the CCE’s insights layer. Online-only, a different user and device class from the field app,



and held to a data-presentation bar rather than an offline-resilience one.
- The shared seam — co-owns the Next Steps-CCE interface with the CCE POD's engineers; changes here are reviewed by the Architect before merge
- Consent Notice & Rights UX: Implements multilingual, clear consent notices, opt-in/opt-out mechanisms, and user-facing workflows for Data Principal rights.
- Sahai/ABDM integration — builds the Next Steps-Sahai integration on top of the identity and consent layer the CCE POD owns
- Test discipline — writes automated tests for every Next Steps requirement, to the coverage standard the QA Automation Engineer sets

Decision authority
- Decides single-module, Next Steps-internal implementation choices independently.
- Anything touching the shared seam, identity resolution, or a new external API contract goes to the Architect before merge.

What we’re looking for Must-have
- 7–14 years building production web or mobile applications used by real, non-technical end users
- Has built both a transactional field app and a data/dashboard UI — this role covers both, and they are different disciplines
- Experience with offline-first or intermittent-connectivity application design
- Strong automated testing habits
- Primary stack — React/React Native, Flutter, or similar
- AI-first, 10x mindset — builds Next Steps and the dashboard with AI coding assistants as the default tool, expected to operate at several times the output of a traditional non-AI-assisted engineer across both surfaces without lowering the offline-resilience and test bar this role owns

Nice-to-have
- Healthcare, agri-tech, fintech-for-underserved, or any product built for low-connectivity rural users
- Experience with an Indic-language UI
- Comfort iterating a live product based on real field feedback
- Familiarity with India’s DPDP Act 2023 obligations, or with taking a system through a CERT-In empanelled security audit

Preferred education Tier 1 engineering institute preferred, not required.
