Job Summary

The Senior Designer will lead the creative design process for women s, men s, or kids wear collections (as applicable) from concept to production. This role involves trend research, mood board creation, sketching, fabric & trim selection, sample development, and buyer presentations. The candidate will work closely with buyers, merchandising, sampling, and production teams to deliver cutting-edge, trend-driven, and commercially viable designs for international markets.

Responsibilities

- Trend &
- Market Research -Research global fashion trends, color forecasts, silhouettes, prints, and trims suitable for export markets.

- Analyze competitor collections and prepare mood boards and trend stories each season.

- Understand buyer preferences and international retail trends.

- Conceptualization &

- Design Development -Create design concepts and collection plans aligned with buyer briefs and brand aesthetics.

- Develop sketches, CADs, and tech packs with detailed garment specifications.

- Innovate with fabrics, washes, prints, embroideries, and surface ornamentation.

- Ensure designs are cost-effective and feasible for large-scale production.

- Sampling &

- Product Development -Work with the sampling team to develop prototypes, fit samples,



and PP samples.

- Review and approve samples, ensuring fit, finish, trims, and workmanship meet buyer standards.

- Suggest modifications where needed and provide technical inputs to the team.

- Buyer Interaction &

- Presentations -Present seasonal collections, concepts, and sample ranges to international buyers.

- Understand and interpret buyer feedback to make quick design adjustments.

- Build long-term relationships with buying houses, agents, and direct clients.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration -Coordinate with merchandisers, QA, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.

- Work closely with the fabric team to select innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective materials.

- Monitor T&A; calendars to ensure timely sample submissions and approvals.

Education

Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Apparel Design from a reputed institute.
