Senior Billing Staff – Hospital Revenue CyclePosition Summary The Senior Billing Staff plays a critical role in the hospital’s revenue cycle management, ensuring accurate medical billing, timely claim submission, and effective resolution of complex billing discrepancies. This position oversees day-to-day billing operations, mentors junior billing staff, and acts as a subject matter expert for insurance regulations, coding standards, and payer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Claim Generation &
- Submission:

Prepare, review, and submit inpatient, outpatient, and specialized medical claims to commercial insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and self-pay accounts in compliance with payer rules.

- Complex Account Review: Investigate and resolve rejected, denied, or stalled claims, performing root-cause analysis and submitting necessary appeals with supporting clinical documentation.

- Payment Posting &

- Reconciliation:

Ensure accurate posting of insurance and patient payments, contractual adjustments, and allowances,



while identifying and correcting discrepancies.

- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical billing compliance standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and hospital financial policies to minimize audit risks.

- Team Leadership &

- Mentorship:

Guide, train, and support junior billing staff, serving as an escalation point for complex billing inquiries and workflow roadblocks.

- Reporting &

- Collaboration:

Coordinate closely with the Patient Access, Health Information Management (HIM/Coding), and Collections departments to streamline revenue flow and reduce Accounts Receivable (A/R) days.

- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of healthcare billing experience, specifically within a hospital, health system, or large medical center setting.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
