Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.

The Senior

Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.



The role also includes overseeing documentation for audits, supporting management with financial reports and cost analysis, and collaborating with project teams to track project expenses and revenue.

Accountant is expected to identify process improvements, maintain accurate financial records, and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and regulatory compliance relevant to construction or real estate.
- Ability to analyze financial data, prepare budgets and forecasts, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA/CPA or equivalent are preferred.
- Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to maintaining accurate and transparent financial records.
