Job Role

We are looking for an experienced SD-WAN / Network Engineer with robust hands-on expertise in Cisco Viptela, Routing & Switching, and enterprise network technologies.The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, migrating, troubleshooting, and supporting complex enterprise network environments. The role requires strong knowledge of routing protocols, Cisco Catalyst platforms, SD-WAN technologies, network architecture, and implementation/migration planning.The ideal candidate should have excellent troubleshooting and technical documentation skills, along with the ability to interact effectively with customers and work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions using Cisco Viptela.Support SD-WAN deployments, migrations, upgrades, and operational activities.Troubleshoot complex Routing & Switching issues in enterprise network environments.Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including:BGPOSPFIS-ISWork with Cisco switching platforms such as Catalyst 9000, 3850,



and 6800 series.Handle network technologies and protocols including:LISPMulticastVRF-LiteVXLANCTS802.1X / Dot1xSpanning Tree ProtocolPerform network analysis and troubleshooting to identify root causes of performance and connectivity issues.Participate in network architecture discussions and provide recommendations for improvements.Prepare detailed implementation, migration, testing, validation, and rollback plans.Execute network migration and implementation activities while minimizing business impact.Perform pre-implementation and post-implementation testing and validation.Maintain technical documentation covering network configurations, architecture, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.Work closely with customer technical teams, architects, operations teams, and other stakeholders.Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to customer representatives at different organizational levels.Handle assigned technical activities independently and ensure timely completion.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.Required Technical SkillsMust-Have SkillsStrong knowledge/hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN / ViptelaStrong knowledge of Routing & SwitchingBGP and OSPFCisco Catalyst 9000 / 3850 / 6800Network troubleshooting and implementation experienceStrong understanding of enterprise network architecture

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the following technologies: Standards and protocols, application software and embedded software for wireless and satellite networks, fixed networks and enterprise networks; connected devices (IOT and device engineering), connected applications (5G/ edge, B2X apps); and Telco Cloud, Automation and Edge Compute platforms. This role also involves the integration of network systems and their operations, related to the above technologies.
