SAP Techno-Functional Consultant Supply Chain and Inventory Integration (Contract)

Scatterlink is building a mobile, IoT-enabled inventory visibility platform for mining and other asset-heavy operations. We help frontline teams find, receive, issue, count, transfer, and manage material in the field, while connecting physical activity back to enterprise systems such as SAP.

We need a contract SAP techno-functional consultant to help us understand how SAP customers manage inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and financial controls today. The first objective is discovery: identify real user problems, SAP process constraints, integration requirements, and the gaps that a frontline mobile product can solve.

This is not a standard SAP implementation role. You will work directly with the founder and product team to turn operational problems into a clear product and integration roadmap.

Key responsibilities

- Map SAP processes for materials management, inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and cost allocation.
- Help define how Scatterlink should integrate with SAP, including master data, goods movements, receipts, issues, transfers, cycle counts, and approvals.
- Identify operational gaps between SAP records and physical inventory at site.




- Develop user stories, process flows, functional requirements, and integration specifications.
- Advise on SAP integration options, such as APIs, OData services, IDocs, BAPIs, SAP BTP, and middleware.
- Work with technical developers to clarify requirements and review proposed designs.
- Support customer discovery discussions and translate findings into product requirements.

Required experience

- 5+ years of SAP functional or techno-functional experience.
- Strong experience with SAP MM. Experience with PM, WM/EWM, FI/CO, or S/4HANA is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of SAP integrations, APIs, IDocs, BAPIs, OData, or SAP BTP.
- Experience gathering requirements and writing explicit functional specifications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with business users and developers.
- Experience in mining, manufacturing, logistics, or other asset-heavy industries is preferred.
