SAP Basis/HANA Database Expert (DBA)

- SAP Basis Operations, Migrations experience and working in Rise/Cloud environment is a plus
- SAP HANA Database Administration: Manage, configure, and optimize SAP HANA 2.0 databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- System Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimization strategies.
- Database Objects Management: Create, modify, and manage tables, views, stored procedures, and indexes for optimal efficiency. - Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

- Security & User Management: Administer database security, manage user roles, and enforce access control policies. - Data Replication &
- Integration: Configure and manage HANA System Replication, SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation), SDA (Smart Data Access), and SDI (Smart Data Integration).

- Patch Management & • Upgrades: Perform SAP HANA version upgrades, patch installations, and system migrations as required.

- SAP HANA Cloud & • On-Premises Management:

Support hybrid environments, including HANA on-premise and cloud-based deployments.
- Database Troubleshooting & • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with SAP Basis and Application teams to resolve database-related issues.

- Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using SQL, Python,



or Shell scripting for database maintenance tasks.

- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date documentation on database architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Experience: Minimum 8-9 years of experience in SAP Basis/SAP HANA 2.0 Database Administration.

- Database Knowledge: Strong expertise in SAP HANA tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and partitioning techniques.
- Performance Optimization: Hands-on experience with HANA performance tuning, query optimization, and workload management.
- Security & Compliance: Knowledge of SAP HANA security concepts, encryption, and audit logging.
- Backup & High Availability: Experience in configuring backups, disaster recovery strategies, and HANA System Replication.

- SAP HANA Studio & Cockpit: Proficiency in using HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit, and other administration tools.

- Scripting & Automation: Familiarity with Python, SQL, or Shell scripting for automating database tasks.

- Cloud & Hybrid Knowledge: Experience with SAP HANA on Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or SAP BTP is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a cooperative team environment.
- Proactive approach to monitoring and optimization. '
