SENIOR SALESFORCE HEALTH CLOUD DEVELOPER | Any Location | 6–10 Years of Experience ROLE OVERVIEW Job Title Senior Salesforce Health Cloud Developer Location Any Location Experience 6–10 years Employment Type Contract ROLE SUMMARY We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Health Cloud Developer to design, build, integrate, and support scalable healthcare solutions on the Salesforce platform. The role requires solid hands-on Salesforce engineering, Health Cloud data-model expertise, healthcare interoperability knowledge, and the ability to translate clinical and business needs into secure, maintainable solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Design and develop Salesforce Health Cloud solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, platform configuration, and reusable integration patterns. 2 Configure and extend Health Cloud capabilities such as patient/member management, care plans, care teams, clinical timelines, provider relationships, and healthcare programs. 3 Work with the FHIR R4-aligned clinical data model and map healthcare information including patients, encounters, conditions, medications, procedures, observations, and care plans. 4 Build and support integrations with EHR/EMR, payer, provider, laboratory, pharmacy, and other healthcare systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, events, and secure data-exchange patterns. 5 Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, healthcare SMEs, QA teams, and client stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions. 6 Apply Salesforce security controls including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, role hierarchy, field-level security, encryption, auditability, and least-privilege access. 7 Perform solution design, coding, unit testing, code reviews, deployment, production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. 8 Create high-quality technical documentation covering solution design, data mapping, integrations, configuration, deployment, and operational support. 9 Support Agile delivery through estimation, sprint planning, demonstrations, release readiness,
and proactive management of risks and dependencies. 10 Mentor developers, promote engineering standards, and contribute to performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability improvements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1 6–10 years of overall IT experience with substantial hands-on Salesforce development and implementation experience. 2 Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, triggers, asynchronous processing, Salesforce APIs, and platform limits. 3 Hands-on experience implementing or supporting Salesforce Health Cloud solutions and healthcare-specific data models. 4 Good understanding of healthcare workflows such as patient/member engagement, care coordination, provider management, clinical data exchange, and service operations. 5 Experience with healthcare interoperability concepts and standards, especially FHIR R4 and HL7-based integration scenarios. 6 Strong integration experience using REST/SOAP services, OAuth, JSON/XML, event-driven patterns, and middleware such as MuleSoft or equivalent. 7 Practical knowledge of Salesforce data modelling, security, performance optimisation, error handling, testing, and deployment practices. 8 Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Salesforce DX, DevOps Center, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. 9 Strong analytical, debugging, communication, stakeholder-management, and technical documentation skills. 10 Ability to work independently, guide junior developers, and deliver effectively within distributed Agile teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1 Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification; Health Cloud Accredited Professional certification is desirable. 2 Experience with MuleSoft, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud,
Service Cloud, Shield, Data Cloud, or healthcare analytics solutions. 3 Exposure to payer, provider, life sciences, medical-device, pharmacy, or public-health business processes. 4 Knowledge of privacy, consent, data-retention, and regulated healthcare-data practices relevant to the delivery location and client environment. 5 Experience leading technical discussions, conducting design reviews, and supporting estimations or solution proposals. HEALTHCARE DOMAIN EXPECTATIONS 1 Understand that external EHR/clinical systems may remain the system of record and design Salesforce integrations and access patterns accordingly. 2 Translate clinical and operational terminology into Salesforce objects, relationships, workflows, validations, and user experiences. 3 Protect sensitive patient/member information through secure design, controlled access, traceability, and compliant data handling. 4 Partner with healthcare SMEs to validate data mappings, care workflows, integration behaviour, and acceptance criteria. 5 Balance user experience with interoperability, data quality, scalability, and operational support needs. SUCCESS MEASURES 1 Reliable delivery of secure, scalable Health Cloud features that meet agreed business and clinical requirements. 2 High-quality code, adequate automated test coverage, low defect leakage, and predictable releases. 3 Stable integrations, accurate healthcare data mapping, timely issue resolution, and clear production-support documentation. 4 Effective collaboration, technical ownership, stakeholder confidence, and measurable contribution to team capability.
