Required Technical Knowledge and Competencies

As part of the technical requirements for the position, the candidate should possess a sound understanding of the following areas:

1. Design, Engineering Calculations & Instrumentation

- Understanding of basic engineering design principles and technical calculations.
- Knowledge of sizing, selection, and application of industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with instrumentation concepts, measurement principles, and technical specifications.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, and equipment specifications.
- Understanding of basic calculations related to pressure, flow, level, temperature, and equipment sizing.

2. Flow, Level, Process Control & Safety Equipment

- Understanding of flow measurement instruments, including rotameters and other flow measurement devices.
- Knowledge of level measurement equipment, such as magnetic level indicators, float and board level indicators, and sight glasses.
- Familiarity with process control equipment and their industrial applications.
- Understanding of safety equipment, including pressure vacuum relief valves, rupture discs, flame arrestors, and emergency relief valves.
- Ability to understand equipment functionality, operating principles, and selection based on process requirements.

3. Technical Parameters & Engineering Units The candidate should have a clear understanding of the following technical parameters:

- Flow rate: LPH, m³/hr, Nm³/hr, SCFM, etc.
- Pressure: bar, kg/cm², PSI, barg, and psig.
- Temperature: °C and °F, including operating and design conditions.




- Density and specific gravity of process fluids.
- Molecular weight and fluid properties.
- pH and its relevance to material selection and fluid compatibility.
- Conversion between different engineering units and their practical applications.
- Operating pressure (OP), design pressure (DP), operating temperature (OT), and design temperature (DT).

4. Material Knowledge, Periodic Table & Fluid Compatibility

- Understanding of metallic and non-metallic materials used in industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of materials such as SS304, SS316, Carbon Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Hastelloy, PTFE, and other engineering materials.
- Basic understanding of the periodic table, chemical elements, and material composition.
- Familiarity with material properties, corrosion resistance, temperature limitations, and mechanical suitability.
- Understanding of fluid compatibility and the selection of appropriate materials based on the process media.
- Ability to identify suitable MOC (Material of Construction) for various industrial applications.

5. Engineering Standards & Codes

- Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, BS, API, and other relevant engineering standards.
- Understanding of pressure class,



flange ratings, connection types, and applicable technical requirements.
- Basic knowledge of standards related to industrial valves, flame arrestors, rupture discs, and instrumentation.
- Ability to review customer specifications and identify applicable standards and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of the importance of technical documentation, inspection requirements, and quality standards.

6. Technical Interpretation & Application

- Ability to understand customer inquiries, datasheets, and technical specifications.
- Capability to identify missing technical information and raise relevant clarifications.
- Understanding of product selection based on process conditions and customer requirements.
- Ability to coordinate with design, production, quality, and sales teams for technical matters.
- Preparation and review of technical offers, compliance statements, and product-related documentation.

Expected Competency: The candidate should be able to apply technical knowledge practically, understand industrial process requirements, perform basic engineering calculations, and select suitable equipment and materials based on the application. Robust analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new engineering concepts will be considered essential.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
