About the Role

Are you a technically strong sales professional who enjoys interacting with customers, understanding their requirements and providing the right technical solutions?

Shimadzu India Private Limited is looking for a Sales Engineer – Industrial (Testing Sales) to join our Industrial Testing team. The role will be based in Mumbai and will involve managing sales and customer relationships across Mumbai and Gujarat.

What You'll Do

- Drive sales and achieve targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and technical discussions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals and support negotiations.
- Handle tenders, order finalization and payment follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports and customer follow-ups.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Service, Application, Finance and Tender teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Participate in exhibitions, seminars and other promotional activities.
- Travel across Mumbai and Gujarat to meet customers and develop business opportunities.

What We're Looking For





- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in sales of materials testing machines, industrial products or related equipment.
- Experience with measurement/analytical instruments or materials testing equipment will be an advantage.
- Strong technical aptitude with good communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Working knowledge of CRM and MS Office.
- Candidates should be based in Mumbai and be willing to work from our Andheri East office.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
