Role Description The Safety Manager (Construction Industry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane. The individual in this role will oversee day-to-day safety activities at construction sites, including monitoring compliance with safety standards, conducting regular site inspections, and identifying potential hazards.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, organizing and delivering safety training sessions, and leading incident and accident investigations to determine root causes and preventive measures.
The Safety
Manager will collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to promote a safety-first culture, maintain regulatory documentation, and support audits and certification processes.
This role also involves coordinating with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to local laws and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Occupational Health principles and practices within construction and industrial settings.
- Candidates should possess skills in Safety Training, including developing training content and conducting sessions for diverse site teams.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), with the ability to implement and monitor EHS programs and policies.
- Candidates should possess experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, reporting, and corrective action planning.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Industrial Safety, including risk assessment, hazard control, and regulatory compliance.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in safety or EHS are an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of local construction safety regulations, standards, and best practices in India.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide site personnel at all levels.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate safety documentation, support audits, and coordinate with regulatory authorities.
- Hands-on experience in construction site safety management and willingness to work on-site in agile project environments.
