Key Responsibilities:
Software Development &
- Optimization:
- Design, develop, and maintain ROS1/ROS2-based software for robot control, motion planning, navigation and perception.
- Develop high-performance algorithms to improve robotic autonomy and decision-making.
- Write clean, reusable and maintainable C code following software engineering best practices.
- Develop RESTful APIs in C for integration with external applications and databases.
- Optimize algorithms, data structures and memory management for real-time robotic applications.
Hardware &
- Software Integration:
- Integrate robotics software with sensors, actuators and embedded systems.
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA and Snap7.
- Develop and troubleshoot real-time hardware-software interfaces.
- Ensure seamless communication between robotic hardware, software platforms and cloud-based systems.
Robotics &
- Data Management:
- Work with MongoDB for efficient storage, retrieval and processing of robotics data.
- Design database structures supporting robotic applications and system performance.
- Contribute to improvements in navigation, localization, perception and fleet-management systems.
Collaboration &
- Product Development:
- Collaborate with UI/UX, Solutions Engineering, Product and Business teams.
- Participate in product discussions, architecture decisions and feature development.
- Conduct code reviews, peer programming and technical documentation.
- Contribute to building scalable and maintainable robotics products.
Security,
Debugging &
- Performance:
- Implement security best practices for robotic software systems.
- Perform debugging, testing and performance optimization.
- Diagnose software, hardware and runtime issues in real-world robotic environments.
- Improve system reliability, scalability and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, ECE, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience with AMR/AGV robotics, particularly navigation, localization, fleet management or autonomous robotics product development.
- Strong proficiency in C 11/14/17 with excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Extensive experience with ROS1 and ROS2 development and deployment.
- Strong understanding of robot kinematics, motion planning, navigation, localization, perception and sensor integration.
- Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration.
- Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- Robust analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with PLC and industrial automation.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
- Experience with Computer Vision, Deep Learning or Reinforcement Learning for robotics.
- Familiarity with project management and agile development methodologies.
