The Role The role of a Resource Mobilization Associate entails engaging with individuals across diverse locations, including corporate offices, IT hubs, and public spaces, to raise awareness about Greenpeace India’s campaigns. The position focuses on effectively communicating the organization’s mission and encouraging individuals to extend their support through financial contributions and long-term commitment to Greenpeace India’s initiatives.
Responsibilities
● Develop an understanding of our client, Greenpeace’s campaigns.
● Explain environmental campaigns to members of the public in a clear and interesting way.
● Meet set income targets by signing paid supporters for the client.

On the job training
Training is provided to all new Resource Mobilization Associate on Campaigns as also techniques in talking to people on the street and convincing them to become supporters.

Role Description The Resource Mobilization Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Karnataka, India. This role involves engaging prospective supporters in person, clearly explaining the mission and campaigns of partner organizations, and inspiring them to become long-term donors. The Associate will identify and approach potential donors in public spaces, events, and other outreach locations, maintain accurate records of interactions, and follow up to strengthen donor relationships.
The position includes working with internal teams to align messaging, meet daily and monthly fundraising targets, and provide feedback from the field to improve outreach strategies. The role also requires adhering to ethical fundraising standards and representing the organization professionally in all public interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills to engage diverse audiences and build trust with potential donors.
- Ability to understand and clearly articulate environmental and social justice issues, with a demonstrated interest in the development or nonprofit sector.
- Basic proficiency in sales or fundraising techniques, including persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building, while maintaining ethical standards.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills for tracking donor information, daily activities, and fundraising performance.
- Comfort working in field-based, on-site environments, with resilience, adaptability, and the ability to meet targets under time constraints.
- Minimum educational qualification of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; prior experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or public engagement is an advantage.
