Company Description Exonics Biopharmaceuticals is focused on developing a first-in-class, AI-enabled remyelination therapy designed to cross the blood–brain barrier via transferrin receptor binding nanobodies. This innovative drug conjugate aims to deliver remyelinating treatments directly to the central nervous system, addressing key challenges in neurodegenerative care.

The therapy is being developed as a specialized solution for multiple sclerosis, leukodystrophies, neuromyelitis optica, and a range of other demyelinating disorders. Role Description The Research Scientist will play a central role in advancing Exonics’ AI-enabled remyelination drug program through experimental design, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing laboratory studies related to nanobody-drug conjugates, remyelination mechanisms, and blood–brain barrier transport; analyzing and interpreting complex datasets; and documenting results in clear, detailed reports.

The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize therapeutic candidates, contribute to mechanistic understanding, and support preclinical development activities. This is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi, India or Pune,



India requiring regular presence in the laboratory and participation in in-person scientific discussions and project meetings.

Qualifications

- Strong background in neuroscience, neurobiology, or related discipline, with experience in neurodegenerative state analysis.
- Hands-on expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques relevant to CNS drug development (e.g., cell culture, iPSC cell reprogramming, immunohistochemistry, PCR, Western blotting, imaging assays).
- Experience working with antibodies, nanobodies, biologics, or drug conjugates, including characterization, binding assays, and functional evaluation.
- Competence in data analysis and scientific computing (e.g., statistical analysis, imaging quantification, use of software tools such as GraphPad Prism, R, or Python).
- Familiarity with AI or computational approaches applied to drug discovery or biological data, or willingness to learn and collaborate with AI-focused team members.
- Proven ability to design experiments, troubleshoot methodologies, and maintain accurate, compliant laboratory records.
- Excellent scientific writing and communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and potential publications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site in a laboratory setting.
- Master’s or PhD in Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field; relevant industry or postdoctoral experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of preclinical study design, regulatory considerations.
