Role : Quality management system engineer

We are looking for an experienced and talented Engineer (QMS),) to join our dynamic and ambitious quality team in Noratel India.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve the organization's Quality Management System and Integrated Management System.

Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant customer-specific requirements.

Monitor implementation of QMS procedures across all departments. Identify gaps in the QMS and coordinate corrective actions.

Support management in achieving quality objectives and KPIs.

Maintain controlled copies of QMS procedures, work instructions, formats, and records.

Ensure documents are properly reviewed, approved, revised, and distributed.

Maintain document revision history and master document lists.

Ensure obsolete documents are identified and prevented from unintended use. Maintain quality records as per defined retention requirements.

Prepare and maintain the annual internal audit plan.

Conduct process, system, and product audits as applicable.

Prepare audit checklists and coordinate with process owners.

Record audit findings and monitor corrective actions.

Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and close audit findings.

Support customer, certification, and surveillance audits.

Manage internal and external non-conformities.

Coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and 8D. Track corrective and preventive actions to closure. Verify the effectiveness of implemented actions. Coordinate preparation for customer, certification, and regulatory audits.



Ensure required documents and objective evidence are available. Coordinate with process owners during audits. Track and close audit findings within the agreed timeline. Ensure lessons learned from audits are incorporated into the QMS.

Qualifications & Skill set Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in QMS / IMS. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in in QMS / IMS. Experience in APQP/PPAP/8D Strong knowledge of QMS requirements. Internal and external audit management. Root Cause Analysis and problem solving. Good analytical and reporting skills. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams. Certified Internal Auditor for QMS & IMS Proficiency in MS office- MS Excel. PowerPoint and MS word Experience in internal audits, customer audits, CAPA, document control, and QMS implementation. Language Proficiency: Verbal and Written -English and Kannada -Desired-Malayalam Self-driven and strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish and develop working relationships between business functions Good Communication Skills Experience in a transformer manufacturing company will be considered an added advantage.
