Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Python Data Testing Engineer with hands-on experience in backend test automation, data pipeline validation, and cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate should have strong Python & Pytest skills, experience with Docker/Kubernetes, and exposure to data pipeline testing (Pyspark).

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python & Pytest
- Perform API testing, backend service validation, and performance checks
- Test and validate Pyspark data pipelines and ETL workflows
- Work with Docker & Kubernetes for containerized environments
- Develop automation scripts for backend platforms and data workflows
- Execute database testing using SQL & NoSQL systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams using Jenkins / GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Work with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, EC2
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, RCA, and production issue validation
- Coordinate with US teams and attend nightly meetings when required
- Continuously improve test coverage, test frameworks, and automation strategy

Mandatory Skills

- Strong proficiency in Python & Pytest




- Experience in API testing (REST-based)
- Hands-on SQL & NoSQL database testing
- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
- Valuable knowledge of Linux & shell scripting
- Exposure to Pyspark or data pipeline testing
- Working experience with AWS services

Good to Have Skills

- Knowledge of Scala, Kotlin, or other JVM languages
- Exposure to gRPC
- Experience using Splunk for log analysis
- Understanding of distributed systems
- AWS certification

- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent communication & collaboration abilities
- Proactive learner with problem-solving mindset
