Role Description The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies to support manufacturing operations. This full-time, on-site role is based in Navi Mumbai and includes identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in line with production schedules. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production, quality, and finance teams, and maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports.

The Purchasing

Manager will also analyze market trends, manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations,



and drive cost optimization and process efficiency within the supply chain.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in procurement and vendor management, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and relationship building.

- Experience in inventory management, demand forecasting, and purchasing planning for manufacturing or chemical industry operations.

- Proficiency in using ERP or purchasing systems, spreadsheet tools, and data analysis for cost control and reporting.

- Knowledge of chemical industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety practices related to sourcing and handling materials.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement within purchasing or supply chain functions.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or skilled certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is an advantage.

- Prior experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, ideally within chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or related manufacturing sectors.
