Purchase Manager — Maxlite AAC Blocks India Pvt. Ltd.

Core Mandate

Ensure zero production stoppage due to material or capex delays, while optimizing procurement cost and building supplier reliability across plants.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials and consumables required for AAC block production, maintaining buffer stock against supplier lead times
- Lead vendor negotiations — rates, payment terms, contract renewals — reviewed periodically against market pricing trends
- Handle capex procurement: machinery, equipment, spares — obtain competitive quotes, verify technical specs, and coordinate with plant heads before purchase approval
- Maintain a minimum inventory of regularly consumed spares (wear parts, consumables for critical machinery) to prevent breakdown-related downtime, with defined reorder levels per item
- Maintain inventory planning with defined min-max stock levels and reorder triggers aligned to production schedules




- Identify and qualify backup vendors for critical materials to reduce single-source dependency risk
- Track and report on pending purchase orders, stock status, and price variance against budget on a regular cadence
- Coordinate closely with plant/production teams to align purchase timelines with production plans

Reporting

- Weekly stock and procurement status review with plant heads

KPIs

- Zero stockout days for critical materials
- Zero downtime days attributable to spares unavailability
- Material cost as % of revenue trending down YoY
- PO-to-delivery lead time adherence
- Minimum 2 qualified alternate vendors per critical material

Hiring Profile 5–8 years in cement/construction materials or manufacturing procurement.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
