Position Summary The Project Engineer I – SharePoint & Build Quality is a member of the IT Project Team in India and reports to a Project Manager. The role has two primary focuses.

The first is SharePoint delivery: building SharePoint Online sites (primarily hub-and-spoke architectures), migrating content from other Microsoft 365 tenants and on-premises file servers, configuring and testing security groups, and ensuring every deliverable matches the specifications provided by the Project Manager.

Testing, remediation, and documentation are core parts of this work. The second is build quality control: reviewing standard operating builds for tools implemented in Vertilocity client environments against their SOP build sheets, validating that each build was completed correctly, and clearly reporting any gaps to the Project Manager.

Work is assigned from project plans and scheduled across multiple concurrent projects. Initially, the role works internally with the project team. As experience and confidence grow, the role will take on increasing direct client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

- SharePoint Site Builds
- Build SharePoint Online sites from Project Manager specifications, with a primary focus on hub-and-spoke architectures. Configure site structure, navigation, document libraries, metadata, and permissions to the approved design. Confirm that the finished build matches the specification before handoff.

- Content Migrations -Execute migrations of content from other Microsoft 365 tenants and on-premises file servers into SharePoint Online and OneDrive, using tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Manager. Support pre-migration planning and mapping, perform post-migration validation, and resolve migration issues. Document what was moved, what was excluded, and any exceptions.
- Security Groups and Permissions -Set up Entra ID security groups, Microsoft 365 groups,



and SharePoint permission groups as designed. Test that access works as intended for each user role, remediate anything that does not, and document the final permission model for handoff.
- Testing, Remediation, and Documentation -Test each deliverable against the project specification. Remediate defects found during testing or by the Project Manager. Maintain implementation checklists and produce clear, consistent documentation for each build, migration, and permission design so the Operations Team can support it going forward.
- Build Quality Control (QC)

- Review completed standard operating builds for tools deployed to Vertilocity clients, such as but not limited to Barracuda, Sentinel One, ImmyBot, and KnowBe4, against their SOP build sheets. Validate that each item was completed correctly. Where a build does not match the SOP, document the specific gaps and communicate them to the Project Manager for remediation.

- Project to Operations Handover -Ensure a smooth transition from Projects to Operations by delivering configurations, changes, and documentation in Vertilocity's standard format, and by supporting knowledge transfer activities as needed.
- Operations Support -When project workload allows, contribute to the Operations Team on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID related tickets and troubleshooting, prioritized by business impact and urgency.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in IT or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, including Teams, OneDrive, and Entrap ID
- Experience building SharePoint sites and configuring permissions; hub-and-spoke site experience preferred
- Experience with SharePoint or Microsoft 365 content migrations preferred; familiarity with tools such as Sharegate, Bit-Titan, or Microsoft Migration Manager is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 security groups, governance, and PowerShell
- Experience following SOPs, build-sheets, or implementation checklists in an IT service delivery setting preferred
- Exposure to tools such as Barracuda, Sentinel One, ImmyBot, or KnowBe4 is a plus
