Job Title

Quality Supervisor / Quality Engineer

Experience

2–5 Years in Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Manufacturing or Engineering Industry.

We are looking for a Quality Supervisor / Quality Engineer to manage quality inspection, documentation and quality control activities in our Sheet Metal & Fabrication manufacturing unit.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection & Control

- Conduct in-process and final inspection of sheet metal and fabricated components.
- Inspect components as per engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
- Check dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Measuring Tape and other inspection instruments.
- Perform quality inspection of CNC Punching, Laser Cutting and Bending jobs.
- Check bending dimensions, angles, hole positions, cutting dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect welding, grinding, assembly and finishing quality.
- Conduct first-piece / sample inspection before batch production.
- Identify and control rejection, rework and quality defects.
- Ensure proper segregation of OK, Rework and Rejected components.

Quality Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain In-Process Inspection Reports and Final Inspection Reports.
- Maintain First Piece Inspection Reports and sample approval records.
- Prepare and maintain Rejection / Rework Reports with defect details.
- Maintain Daily Quality Reports and production quality records.
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for quality deviations.
- Maintain Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) records.
- Maintain Root Cause Analysis and corrective action documentation for repeated defects.
- Maintain Inspection Check Sheets for Punching, Bending, Welding and Assembly operations.
- Maintain records of measuring instruments and calibration status.




- Maintain customer complaint records and corrective action reports.
- Ensure all quality documents are properly updated, filed and traceable.
- Coordinate with Production and Design departments for drawing revisions and quality-related documentation.
- Prepare quality data and reports for Management review and customer requirements.
- Maintain proper records of approved samples, inspection standards and quality specifications.

Process & Production Quality
- Monitor quality at every stage of production.
- Coordinate with Production, Design and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Monitor recurring defects and take preventive action.
- Support 5S and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Train operators and workers regarding quality requirements and common defects.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and work instructions.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of Sheet Metal & Fabrication Quality Control.
- Knowledge of CNC Punching, Laser Cutting and Press Brake/Bending.
- Knowledge of Welding, Grinding and Assembly inspection.
- Ability to read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensional tolerances and GD&T; will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of NCR, CAPA, 5 Why and Root Cause Analysis.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication, team-handling and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Education ITI / Diploma / BE – Mechanical / Production / Quality preferred.

Salary: As per experience and skill level.
