POSITION : PRODUCTION MANAGER CUM GENERAL MANAGER

LOCATION : Ajmer, Rajasthan

DEPARTMENT : Manufacturing / Factory Operations

EXPERIENCE Preferably : 8-15 Years

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Production Manager Cum General Manager to lead the overall management, production planning, manpower utilization, process improvement, and smooth functioning of our Ayurvedic manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Ayurvedic manufacturing, classical formulations, production processes, factory operations, and regulatory requirements. The role includes identifying bottlenecks, streamlining production, assessing manpower requirements, improving productivity, reducing delays, and ensuring optimum utilization of machinery, materials, and workforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and supervise overall factory operations and production activities for smooth and productive functioning of the manufacturing unit.
- Streamline production processes and establish systematic production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Identify production bottlenecks, operational gaps,



and manpower shortages across departments and implement corrective measures.
- Plan and optimize manpower deployment according to workload, machinery, and departmental requirements.
- Monitor productivity and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and manufacturing capacity.
- Supervise manufacturing of Classical Ayurvedic formulations including Asava-Arishta, Avaleha, Syrup, Churna, Rasa Vati, Guggulu, Swarna Yog, Ghrita, Taila, and other dosage forms.
- Ensure correct manufacturing procedures, batch processes, formulation techniques, and process parameters are followed.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, QA, R&D;, Stores, Purchase, and Maintenance for uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure timely availability and proper utilization of raw materials, packing materials, machinery, and manpower.
- Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion of batches and schedules.
- Improve production efficiency, productivity, quality, cost control, factory discipline, staff accountability, and departmental coordination.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Drugs & Cosmetics Act & Rules, licensing requirements, labelling protocols, and applicable Ayurvedic regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper maintenance of Batch Manufacturing Records, production documentation, SOPs, and statutory records.
- Review existing systems, introduce practical improvements,



and regularly report production performance, manpower requirements, operational issues, and improvement plans to senior management.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Education: MBA / PGDM / Master's Degree in Operations Management, Production Management, Industrial Management, Factory Management, General Management, or any other relevant discipline. Candidates having a specialized qualification in Factory or Operations Management may also apply.
- Experience: Preferably 8-15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, including experience in a managerial or factory leadership role. Experience in Ayurvedic, Herbal, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or Process Manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of factory operations, production planning, manpower deployment, workflow management, process improvement, capacity utilization, productivity improvement, and cost control.
- Ability to identify production bottlenecks, operational gaps, manpower shortages, and process inefficiencies, and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Ability to understand technical production processes and coordinate effectively with Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, R&D;, Maintenance, Stores, and Purchase teams.
- Knowledge of GMP, Drugs & Cosmetics Act & Rules, licensing, labelling, documentation, and other applicable regulatory requirements will be preferred.
- Strong leadership, team-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to take complete ownership of factory operations, production performance, manpower productivity, and overall operational efficiency.
