– Production Manager

Job Purpose To plan, manage and continuously improve electronics manufacturing operations to achieve production targets with the required quality, cost, delivery and productivity.

The role is responsible for effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials and manufacturing capacity, ensuring smooth production flow from PCB assembly through testing, coating, integration and final production, while maintaining process discipline, traceability, safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Execution & Delivery

- Translate production plans into daily, weekly and monthly manufacturing schedules and ensure achievement of committed targets.
- Manage production across SMT, through-hole assembly/soldering, inspection, testing, conformal coating, integration and related manufacturing processes.
- Monitor plan vs. actual production and take timely corrective actions for deviations.
- Ensure availability and optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, tools and fixtures.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality and R&D; teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take actions to improve throughput and delivery performance.

Productivity & Operational Excellence

- Drive improvement in productivity, throughput, cycle time, line balancing and capacity utilization.
- Ensure adherence to applicable IPC standards, quality systems and manufacturing procedures.
- Support introduction and stabilization of recent manufacturing equipment, automation,



tools and fixtures.
- Provide manufacturing inputs for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
- Ensure smooth material flow across production stages and control WIP quantity, WIP ageing and production-stage inventory.

Team & Performance Management

- Plan manpower deployment based on production load, skill requirements and priorities.
- Develop multi-skilled teams across critical manufacturing operations
- Set measurable targets for production teams and periodically review productivity, quality and delivery performance.
- Build a culture of ownership, quality, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, EHS and manufacturing discipline.

Key Requirements

- 8–15 years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing/EMS operations, including minimum 3–5 years in a production leadership role.
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, EEE, Production, Mechanical or related discipline.
- Knowledge of IPC workmanship standards, ESD requirements and electronics manufacturing quality practices.
- Strong knowledge of production execution, capacity planning, line balancing and manpower planning.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and productivity improvement.
- Ability to analyze production data and drive measurable improvements.
- Exposure to ERP/MRP/MES and digital production-monitoring systems.
- Strong leadership, execution, decision-making and cross-functional coordination skills.
