Product Manager — Digital Platform & Engineering

Location: Noida

Experience: 3–4 years in product management

Team: Digital Platform & Engineering (DPE)

Who we are

Over the past 17 years, Medanta has created an unrivalled impact in delivering world-class multi-specialty care for patients in India. We have hospitals in Gurgaon, Noida, Lucknow, Patna, Indore and Ranchi. In addition, we have clinics in Defence Colony (South Delhi), Cyber City & Subhash Chowk (Gurgaon), and at the Delhi Airport. Medanta continues to expand its healthcare ecosystem through diagnostics, pharmacies, homecare services and digital health initiatives.

Digital Platform & Engineering (DPE) is Medanta's newly built product and technology organization. Modelled on India's leading internet companies, DPE brings together product managers, designers and engineers to build the products and platforms that power patient journeys, clinical care and hospital operations across the Medanta network. We work from our own office in Noida, with strong sponsorship from the CEO and the stability of a profitable, publicly listed healthcare group.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Manager who can take a messy, real-world problem — on a hospital floor, at a billing counter, or in a patient's phone — define it sharply, and ship products that measurably improve how patients experience care and how clinicians deliver it.

You will be one of the early product managers in DPE, working closely with the Chief Digital Officer, engineering leadership and some of India's most eminent clinicians. The role combines the product craft of a top internet company with the rigour healthcare demands: here, a missed requirement is not just a bug — it can affect a patient's care.

What You Will Work On

- Seamless patient journeys — across OPD, IPD, emergency and day care, from finding the right doctor and booking a visit to diagnostics, payments, discharge and follow-up.
- Products that empower clinicians and caregivers — technology that assists doctors, nurses and care teams managing heavy patient loads, and gives them time back for patient care.
- Platform-first foundations — reusable capabilities such as payments, care subscriptions, scheduling and a unified patient record, designed once and used by every product across the network.
- Voice-first, touch-first and AI-first experiences — products built around how people naturally interact: speaking instead of typing, tapping instead of filling forms, and intelligence that assists at every step.
- A Hospital Information System built from scratch — the core clinical platform,

including EMR, that runs every hospital workflow, designed for how care is delivered today.
- Intelligence across the hospital — AI for triage, clinical decision support, clinical documentation, and planning of beds, operating theatres and resources.
- Care beyond the hospital walls — home care, remote monitoring and connected care that extend Medanta's expertise to wherever patients are.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap and end-to-end lifecycle for one or more products or platforms — from discovery through launch, adoption and scale.
- Lead product discovery on the ground: spend time with clinicians, nurses, front-office teams and patients to deeply understand workflows and pain points before defining what to build.
- Partner with senior doctors and business leaders to understand the need behind every request, evaluate the proposed solution alongside alternatives, and align on the approach that best serves patients and the organization.
- Take a platform-first view: identify common patterns across products and requests, and build reusable capabilities that scale across the network.
- Translate problems into clear PRDs, user journeys and acceptance criteria; work with design and engineering to deliver intuitive voice-first, touch-first and AI-first experiences.
- Use AI tools to accelerate product work — research, specifications, prototyping and analysis.
- Ensure launches are complete for critical workflows, so users can rely on new products fully from day one.
- Embed patient safety, data privacy and regulatory requirements (such as NABH, JCI, DPDP and ABDM) into product design from the start.
- Drive adoption with operations, nursing and clinical teams, and treat user feedback as a core input to the roadmap.
- Define clear success metrics for every product — adoption, turnaround time, conversion, clinician time saved, patient outcomes — and use them to continuously improve the product through regular reviews, experimentation and iteration.
- Prioritize with clarity and communicate trade-offs, progress and impact transparently to stakeholders and leadership.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Must have

- 3–4 years of product management experience in internet product companies (e.g., e-commerce, fintech, healthtech, edtech, marketplaces or consumer platforms).
- A track record of shipping and scaling products with large user bases and measurable business or user impact.
- Strong first-principles problem definition, and comfort working through ambiguity.
- Data-driven decision making — comfortable with funnels, analytics tools, SQL and experimentation.
- Platform thinking — the ability to spot common patterns across problems and design reusable capabilities rather than one-off features.
- Enough technical depth to engage engineers on architecture, APIs, integrations and data trade-offs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to partner with and build alignment among senior, expert stakeholders.
- Hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day product work.
- Willingness to spend meaningful time in hospital environments, observing workflows and working alongside clinical and operations teams.
- High ownership, a bias for both rigour and speed, robust user-experience instincts, and genuine empathy for end users.

Good to have

- Hands-on software development experience before moving into product management.
- Experience building platform or API products — payments, subscriptions, integrations or developer-facing capabilities.
- Experience with voice or conversational interfaces, AI/LLM-based products, or complex, workflow-heavy systems (e.g., ERP, supply chain, fulfilment or clinical systems).
- Exposure to healthcare, diagnostics or other regulated domains (not mandatory — strong product fundamentals matter more than domain background).

Education

- B.Tech / B.E. from a top-tier institution (IITs, NITs, BITS, IIITs or equivalent).
- MBA from a top-tier institution (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS or equivalent) preferred.

Why Join Us

- A rare chance to build from the ground up — a Hospital Information System, shared platforms, and voice-first and AI-first products — at the scale of one of India's leading hospital networks.
- Work alongside some of India's most respected clinicians and learn how world-class care is delivered.
- A tech-first culture: our own office, a flat and informal environment, and open-door leadership.
- Direct exposure to the CEO and senior leadership, who are closely involved in building this team.
- Help shape how product management is practised in a newly built product organization, and grow with it.
- The energy of a startup with the stability of a profitable, publicly listed healthcare group.
