Role Description The Procurement and Purchase Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rajkot. The role involves sourcing raw materials, components, and services for pipe and fittings manufacturing, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective, timely procurement. The manager will evaluate vendor performance, maintain purchase records, and coordinate with production, inventory, and finance teams to align procurement with operational needs and budgets.

Day-to-day responsibilities include issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, resolving supply issues, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and company policies.



The role also requires monitoring market trends, identifying alternative suppliers, and implementing process improvements in the procurement function.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in procurement planning, vendor management, and negotiation to secure cost-effective and reliable supplies.

- Experience with inventory control, demand forecasting, and purchase order management in a manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge of piping materials (PVC, CPVC, HDPE, PPR) and industrial supply chains, preferably in plastics or related industries.

- Proficiency in ERP or procurement software, MS Office, and data analysis for tracking costs, lead times, and supplier performance.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and process discipline.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.

- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
