Position: Process Engineer

Experience: 5–8 Years

Qualification: BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

Salary: ₹5.00 Lakh – ₹8.00 Lakh per annum

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer responsible for developing, improving, standardizing, and monitoring manufacturing processes to achieve higher productivity, consistent quality, cost optimization, and efficient utilization of manpower and resources.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for improved productivity and efficiency.

Prepare and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Flow Charts, and Process Specifications.

Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.

Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and manpower optimization.

Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, wastage, rejection, and downtime.

Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, R&D;, and Supply Chain teams for process improvement.

Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth transition from development to production.

Establish and monitor process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Drive Continuous Improvement / Kaizen / Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Monitor process performance through appropriate KPIs and prepare improvement reports.

Support CAPA, deviation,



change control, and process validation activities wherever applicable.

Ensure manufacturing processes comply with company procedures and applicable quality standards.

Evaluate and implement suitable fixtures, jigs, tools, and process equipment to improve efficiency.

Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for process-related requirements where necessary.

Train production personnel on revised processes, SOPs, and work instructions.

Maintain proper documentation related to process engineering and improvements.

Participate in internal and external audits and provide necessary process-related documentation.

Desired Skills

Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.

Knowledge of RCA, CAPA, FMEA, 7 QC Tools, and process optimization.

Experience in time study, line balancing, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and process documentation.

Good communication and coordination skills.





Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in medical devices, precision manufacturing, electrical/electronic products, plastic components, assembly operations, or similar regulated manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

Experience: 5–8 years in Process Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering.

Education: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.

Should have hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant.

Should be comfortable working closely with Production and Quality teams.

Candidates who have handled process improvement projects and productivity/cost-reduction initiatives will be preferred.

Compensation

₹5.00 LPA to ₹8.00 LPA, depending on experience, skills, and suitability for the role.
