Role & responsibilities

Process development and Basic Engineering:

- Create and develop basic engineering package content like PID's MEB's PFD's.
- Analyze and examine results from R and D to ensure data sufficiency.
- Recommend special equipment and changes to the process to improve the process.
- Perform sizing estimates and calculations using simulation tools.
- Perform safety calculations for the plant relief devices.
- Analyze plant data to establish operating regime.
- Use this data to develop operating windows for process scale up.
- Work with R and D during process optimization and scale up for process development.

Detailed engineering:

- Perform basic checks on detailed engineering content to ensure that Basic engineering integrity has been maintained.
- Troubleshoot and debug design issues at detailed Engineering stage.
- Provide assistance to commissioning teams during final plant start-up for troubleshooting and debugging.

Simulation and modelling:

- Use simulation tools like Aspen and CFD extensively for basic and detailed design calculations.
- Develop custom tools to use for engineering applications.
- Work with vendors and software services providers to develop special simulation models.
