Job Summary

Principal Functional Architect will drive the design and optimization of finance and controlling processes on S4 HANA for global manufacturing operations using a hybrid work model. The role focuses on accounts receivables profitability analysis cost center accounting profit center accounting and product costing while collaborating with operations and analytics stakeholders to deliver robust integrated solutions that improve business performance and decision making.

Responsibilities

- Lead the end to end functional architecture for S4 HANA finance and controlling processes ensuring that accounts receivables profitability analysis cost center accounting profit center accounting and product costing are seamlessly integrated with manufacturing operations systems and practices.

- Drive detailed solution design for accounts receivables in S4 HANA by defining robust business process flows credit and collections configurations and integration points that enhance cash flow visibility and reduce receivables risk for global manufacturing stakeholders.

- Define advanced profitability analysis models in S4 HANA that provide granular insights into product customer and segment profitability while enabling data driven decisions on pricing product mix and market strategies for manufacturing focused business units.

- Architect comprehensive cost center accounting structures that align operational expenditure tracking with manufacturing plants production lines and cross functional departments to improve cost transparency and budgetary control.

- Shape profit center accounting frameworks that mirror the organizational and manufacturing portfolio structure enabling clear measurement of business unit performance and supporting strategic decisions on investments and portfolio optimization.

- Design resilient product costing solutions in S4 HANA that capture end to end manufacturing cost elements including materials labor overhead and variances ensuring accurate cost estimates and reliable margin analysis for complex product families.





- Collaborate with manufacturing operations teams to map shop floor processes material movements and production cycles to financial postings in S4 HANA ensuring that operational events are correctly reflected in accounting and controlling data for timely reporting.

- Partner with manufacturing intelligence and analytics stakeholders to establish data models reporting structures and key performance indicators that connect operational metrics with financial outcomes thereby enabling continuous performance monitoring.

- Provide expert functional guidance during S4 HANA implementation and enhancement projects including requirement workshops fit gap analysis configuration functional specification creation and support for testing cycles to deliver high quality solutions.

- Coordinate with hybrid working teams across business finance and technology functions to ensure alignment on solution designs manage dependencies and promote consistent adoption of standardized S4 HANA processes without requiring travel.

- Mentor project and support teams on S4 HANA finance and controlling best practices share reusable design patterns and promote adherence to architectural standards to sustain long term system reliability and scalability.

- Oversee the evaluation of change requests and improvement initiatives by assessing impact on finance manufacturing operations and analytics flows and by recommending prioritized enhancements that maximize business value and system stability.

- Govern compliance with internal controls audit requirements and data integrity standards across accounts receivables profitability analysis cost center accounting profit center accounting and product costing ensuring that financial information remains accurate and trustworthy. Qualifications

- Demonstrate extensive hands on expertise in S4 HANA accounts receivables including configuration of customer master data billing credit management and collections processes tailored to complex global manufacturing environments.





- Possess deep practical experience in S4 HANA profitability analysis with a proven ability to design and optimize operating concern settings value fields derivation rules and reporting layouts that support advanced margin and profitability tracking.

- Exhibit solid knowledge of S4 HANA product costing including standard costing actual costing cost component structures and variance analysis for discrete and process manufacturing operations with a focus on accuracy and repeatability.

- Bring substantive domain experience in manufacturing operations with practical understanding of production planning shop floor control material usage and throughput metrics to ensure that financial designs reflect real operational behavior.

- Leverage experience in manufacturing intelligence and analytics to design dashboards reports and analytical models that connect operational data with finance and controlling metrics offering clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.

- Maintain strong general knowledge of S4 HANA integration with logistics production procurement and sales modules enabling cohesive end to end process flows across the hybrid work environment.

- Display effective communication and stakeholder management skills enabling clear explanation of complex S4 HANA finance and manufacturing concepts to business and technology audiences and ensuring team-oriented decision making.

- Hold a track record of delivering large scale S4 HANA or SAP ECC transformation projects within hybrid working models demonstrating ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high solution quality.
