Role Description:

The Post Silicon Validation Engineer role is a full-time, in office position based in Bengaluru. In this role, the engineer will plan, develop, and execute post-silicon validation test plans for complex semiconductor devices, covering functionality, performance, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include bringing up new silicon in the lab, running validation test suites, capturing logs, and performing systematic debugging of failures in collaboration with design, verification, and firmware teams.





The engineer will develop automation scripts, manage lab equipment and test setups, and document validation results, issues, and root-cause analyses for cross-functional stakeholders. The role also involves contributing to validation methodologies, supporting silicon characterization and system integration efforts, and helping improve overall product quality and readiness for manufacturing.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Validation and Functional Verification for complex semiconductor devices across PVT conditions.
- Candidates should possess solid Debugging skills for hardware, firmware, and system-level issues.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles as they relate to silicon production and quality.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers) and silicon bring-up environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python, Perl, or TCL) for test automation and data analysis.
- Understanding of SoC architecture, high-speed interfaces, and embedded systems; prior post-silicon validation or silicon characterization experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, and a structured approach to documentation and issue tracking.
