Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role based in Chennai. The PLC Programmer will design, develop, and modify PLC programs for automation systems used in automotive and electronic manufacturing processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and testing control panels, integrating PLCs with sensors and field devices, and troubleshooting control system issues during installation, commissioning, and maintenance.

The role involves collaborating with project engineers and technicians to implement automation solutions, document programming changes, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. The PLC Programmer will also support continuous improvement activities, optimize existing programs for performance and cost efficiency, and provide technical support during production and maintenance operations.

Qualifications





- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation, including experience with common PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi or similar).
- Hands-on experience with control systems integration, including sensors, actuators, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and field instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation related to automation projects.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) and basic networking concepts used in automation.
- Experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting automation equipment in manufacturing environments, preferably automotive or electronics.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and reliability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional project teams and in office technicians.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and, when required, support flexible schedules aligned with project timelines.
- Prior experience in industrial projects, maintenance services, or manufacturing cost optimization is an advantage.
